byterium von Aberdeen zu verordnen, jeder Hausherr solle einen Stock haben, um
seine Familie, das Gesinde eingeschlossen, damit zu züehtigen, wenn sie unnütze Reden
führten. „1t is coneludit that thair salbe in ewerie houss a palmar." Selections from

im Jahr 1674 von dem Prediger erwartete, er werde alle Besucher in Privathäusern
überwachen, denn er müsse wissen, „ii'l' ther be anie persone receaved in the familie
without testimoniall presented to the minister."

and each elder bis owne quarter, over which he is to have speciall inspectioun, and
that everie elder visit his quarter once everie month at least, aceording to the act ef
